A denim-clad celebration of inclusiveness
ISKO I-SKOOL® is an award project for schools with a unique approach and commitment to nurturing future denim talents. The day before the Summit, ten of the finalists from last year’s competition will be rated based on “responsible innovation” criteria, with the students behind the three highest-rated outfits given a distinction.
The theme of the fourth ISKO I-SKOOL® is GENDERFUL, supporting ideals of inclusion and freedom of expression. As normative gender categories are being dismantled around the world, traditional gender binaries no longer carry the social weight they once did. Now in its fifth year, ISKO™’s talent programme is also finding ever more challenging ways to look at society and fashion.
In Copenhagen a jury consisting of international fashion and sustainability experts will review all the designs and select the students to receive recognition. Members of the jury are: Kai Margrander, fashion director of Harper’s Bazaar Germany; Peter Copping, independent fashion professional; Bandana Tewari, editor-at-large of Vogue India; Henriette Pieszak, CEO of Pieszak and Tomorrow; Rebekka Bach, women design manager at G-Star RAW; and Fabio Di Liberto, brand director of ISKO™.
