P&G and its brands, such as Downy and Lenor, enable and inspire responsible consumption, for example by pursuing its Ambition 2030 plan. As a partner in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Make Fashion Circular project, the company plays an active role in discussions about improving the circularity of the fashion industry and about the impact that better laundry habits can have on the longevity of clothing.

P&G’s long-term sustainability philosophy, Wash It Better, Love It Longer, helps consumers own their clothes longer, keeping people’s favourite garments out of landfills and ultimately lessening the environmental impact of fashion.

The Downy and Lenor Long Live Fashion Formula (combining liquid detergent with fabric conditioner in a quick and cold wash cycle) quadruples the lifetime of garments over 50 washes, smoothing and strengthening fibres to protect clothes from damage in the wash, helping maintain their shape and protecting against stretching and fading.
